The SAS adapter is intended for SAS HDD and SAS SSD connection for general checking of device operation capability, surface testing for reading, writing, verification, viewing SMART parameters (Log Sense). It is also possible to view and change some device configuration parameters here.
The copying function lets you create the device image (full sector-by-sector copy) and save any area of the logical space. The sector editor lets view and edit the chosen surface areas.
The adapter lets you work with SAS HDD and SSD in the Data Extractor software.
Attention! PC3000 SAS adapter can only read and write data and work with good and full functional devices or devices with bad sectors or non readable part of media. If you need repair or restore data from damaged, corrupted or non recognized by computer SAS hard drives or SAS SSD you need to buy and use it with PC3000 SAS software. Without SAS software utility this adapter is useless for deep data recovery process! SAS software required another payment and sold separate.

The SAS adapter is an external device which is connected to Port0 of the PC-3000 Portable III. The adapter includes a highly productive Marvell controller, effective low-noise voltage stabilizers as well as other electronic components such as the Power and Data ports for SAS drive connection, and three LED indicators: of the provided power supply - PWR, of the drive activity - SEL, and of the error - FLT.
For temperature control, there is a fan inside the case of the adapter and a radiator on the microchip of the bridge. The fan is monitored by the PWM controller which gets the data from the temperature sensor.
